Flour Tortillas
Ingredients
- 5 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- very warm water
- Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
- Slowly add oil while mixing until it forms a texture similar to a rough crumble.
- Add enough warm water for the crumble texture to resemble typical dough.
- Separate into small round dough balls then allow to rest for a few minutes.
- Once exterior is mostly dry to the touch, roll flat using a wooden rolling pin.
- Cook on an iron skillet, flipping as few times as possible. Some burns spots are Ok.
