Hot Buttered Rum
Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter or margarine
- 1 heaping cup brown sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp rum (for each serving)
- 1/8 tsp cloves
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- Boiling water
- Combine butter and brown sugar in a bowl and mix well until light and fluffy.
- Slowly add whipping cream and powdered sugar on a low speed until smooth then add cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
- For each serving combine 2 tablespoons batter mixture with 1/2 cup boiling water and garnish with a dash of nutmeg.
- Any remaining mixture can be frozen and stored for up to 3 months.
