- Potatoes
- Onion
- Garlic
- Cilantro
- Eggs
- Breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Peel and boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and let them cool.
- In a separate pan, sauté finely chopped onion and minced garlic until golden.
- Mash the cooled potatoes in a mixing bowl and add the sautéed onion and garlic mixture.
- Add chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper to taste. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and gradually incorporate them into the potato mixture.
- Add breadcrumbs gradually until the mixture holds together and can be shaped into patties.
- Shape the mixture into round or oval patties.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove the patties from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot as an appetizer or as part of a main dish.
