Makouda

Ingredients
  • Potatoes
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Cilantro
  • Eggs
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  1. Peel and boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and let them cool.
  2. In a separate pan, sauté finely chopped onion and minced garlic until golden.
  3. Mash the cooled potatoes in a mixing bowl and add the sautéed onion and garlic mixture.
  4. Add chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper to taste. Mix well.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and gradually incorporate them into the potato mixture.
  6. Add breadcrumbs gradually until the mixture holds together and can be shaped into patties.
  7. Shape the mixture into round or oval patties.
  8. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
  9. Remove the patties from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  10. Serve hot as an appetizer or as part of a main dish.
