Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoon yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3/4 cup warm water
- Combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix slowly with a wooden spoon while adding olive oil and warm water.
- While mixing, add the other cup of flour. Dough should form a consistently elastic dough and shouldn’t stick to the sides of the bowl. Add a bit more flour if needed.
- Drizzle the sides of a large bowl with olive oil.
- Lightly dust the dough ball with flour and place into oiled bowl. Make sure to roll ball inside slightly so it has a thin coat of oil.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in a warm place for 30 minutes
- Heat oven to 425°.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead briefly.
- Work the dough into a 12″ round, or two 6″ rounds.
- Fold in edges just slightly to create a crust, pierce with a fork to keep inflating minimal, then add any toppings you desire.
- Bake at 425° for 12-15 minutes and serve warm.
