Piadillo
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 2 jalapenos, chopped and seeded
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup almond slivers
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 4 ounces pimentos
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 small can tomato paste
- Cover meat with water and bring to a boil for 30 minutes until cooked.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook mixture over low heat for at least an hour.
- Serve warm in a ceramic dish. Pairs well with tortilla chips or mixed with rice.
